Suicide You Have To Hide

Hide and seek is a game we used to play

When will these thoughts go away?

You may be plagued by memories of past abuse and causalities.

But I’m here to tell you, just be strong.

Your life is more valuable than it all!

The situations that you’ve faced; Can never, ever be erased.

But please don’t let that mean, that you must evacuate the scene.

Those voices saying if you just die, the pain will go and no one will cry

Are all lies and tricks you see; those voices are just the enemy.

Don’t be fooled by those that say “you have no worth here anyway”.

Those people are just unhappy and jealous of the life they see.

Bullying, teasing, cyber stalking, rumors spreading, what is the reason?

When will people realize

The things they do and say can affect others in a major way.

Before you say a negative word

Just think how that word can create a scar.

There are so many who are scared within

And because of this, they let death win!

I’m here to tell you, let suicide hide; Seek help and someone to confide.

Don’t ever feel that you are all alone, there are people here so just hold on!

Hold on and be strong; let’s think about what you’ve been going through

Instead of suicide, you can say “I have survived”

I’ve survived the moments of complete despair,

 No hope in sight and death was near!

I’ve survived the moments of self pity; steady crying “poor, poor me”

I’ve survived the emotional and physical abuse,

The scars remind but they cannot bind!

I’ve survived the worst you see;

So this is all a delusion and a trick of the enemy.

I can survive through these thoughts of death

I can survive and I can win.

My life is more valuable than the memories within!

My hurt can no longer control me, today I reclaim my destiny!

Suicide you have to Hide for my future awaits me!

A poem inspired by the recent news of the suicide of celebrity, Lee Thompson Young aka Jett Jackson- a childhood show I used to love. I’ve had many experiences with suicidal friends or family and this is an ongoing tragedy. This message is a powerful one and meant to encourage and inspire someone that may be feeling like just giving up. I encourage you to share it and leave comments below.
